Track Overview
Developer Enablement - The Secret Weapon
Since we stumbled out of the primordial ooze, humans have looked for ways of making things easier for themselves. For example, we quickly learned a simple stick can provide the leverage to move a bolder which might have taken several people to lift.
That concept has never left us - the idea that there are tools and approaches which can greatly increase the potential we can have as individuals. In military science, this is called "Force Multiplication" but within technology companies the concept is called "Developer Enablement".
The idea is that by spending some time boosting the potential of your developers through "Developer Enablement " can have an outsized impact on productivity and happiness, on profits and retention. Any investment you've made working on shipping your product quicker and at a higher quality is paid back many times over by the productivity gains you get within your collective organisation.
At a time where the fight for market share and hiring is ferocious, could "Developer Enablement" be your secret weapon? We'll talk to some companies that have invested in Developer Enablement, their take on it and the benefits it could bring to you and your organisation.
