No Next Next: Fighting Entropy in Your Microservices Architecture

Great! You’ve created your microservices architecture and you are reaping the benefits of independently deployable units and teams being wholly responsible for services. But a few years on and things aren’t quite as simple, clean and independent as they were originally. Maintaining microservices takes work.

In this talk, I will talk about my experience joining the FT to lead on a few years after launch; and share some of the things that I and my team implemented to stop the drift towards an unmaintainable system and another rebuild.

You will learn:

  • how to recognise some of the common problems that afflict microservices architectures
  • steps to take to address them
  • practices you can put in place to keep your architecture in a decent state
  • tools and processes that help keep you on track

Securing Microservices: Preventing Vulnerability Traversal

Tuesday May 17 / 12:20PM EDT

One of the advantages of microservices architecture is that teams can develop, maintain, and deploy each microservice independently. With single-responsibility, services can be scaled separately as required and doing so with a DevOps mentality substantially improves agility. How do we secure...
